Schlagschocken?

Ok, I just read about this dessert in Uncle John's Unstoppable (16th Edition) Bathroom Reader. On page 62, it says, and I quote:

[Quote]

Schlagschocken: The recipe for this dessert from Zurich, Switzerland, calls for 12 pounds of cream, sugar, eggs, honey, and chocolate, all reduced down to a single four-inch square of Schlagschocken. Warning: The Swiss are used to this rich treat, but visitors have been known to pass out from eating a single serving.

[End Quote]

Now, I don't know if this is true, but I do know that I really, really, want it to be true. Unfortunately, a search on Google seems to indicate that it is simply an urban legend. :(

Hmmm, in other news:
- I didn't get the summer internship position with IOCC in Ethiopia that I wanted.
- I am still waiting to hear back from Americorps, and should know if I am accepted to the program in 2-3 weeks.
- I am planning on being chrismated Eastern Orthodox on April 7, which is Holy Saturday, the day before Easter. I'm still trying to figure out some things, like who my sponsors will be, and stuff like that, but it seems pretty set. I'll be talking with my priest more about finalizing all these things up in a few days.
- I am a big fan of raw, vegan cuisine. There is a chain of restaurants in the Bay Area named Cafe Gratitude which serves excellent raw vegan foodstuffs. Uber-hippie!
- And, last but not least, ... I told a close female friend that I was attracted to her. And, of course, now I'm just waiting to be let down and to lose another good friend. It seems that every time I do this, I end up getting hurt, and my life gets really messed up, or at least really changed. Hmm, last time I did this, and I mean really did this (not half-assedly), it ended up with me becoming Eastern Orthodox. So... what will the result be this time, hmm?

OK, may God have steadfast lovingkindness on all of us.

I'm disappointed too...it would have made a GREAT Pascha feast item. Oh well. I'm glad to hear about your upcoming chrismation. TAKE PICTURES!
And I hope your love life doesn't totally tank again. But then, as you say, God works in weird ways. I can testify that there's more than one woman I'm thankful now that wouldn't give me the time of day when I was begging for it from her... but we only see providence in the rear view mirror, unfortunately.
